Biblical Laws about Burnt Offerings
In biblical history we find many ceremonies with burnt offerings. Primarily animal offerings were burnt for the Lord in order to calm God and coerce Him to forgive them for their sins. Thankfully, we do not have to make burnt offerings anymore. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ was the last physical blood sacrifice for sins that we will ever need.
Jesus Christ was our ultimate sacrifice for our sins so sacrificing animals was no longer needed in order to get the Lord to forgive us for our sins.
