Forgiveness Bible Study Series Part 3

In order to be forgiven of your sins by the Lord, you have to forgive others even if you don’t want to. It is the only way that you can receive forgiveness.
When you pray be sure to forgive others you are angry or upset with so that your Father in heaven will forgive you

•  When ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.Mark 11:25
  

What you do affects how God treats you!
If you are not judgmental of other folks then God will not be judgmental of you. If you do not condemn others then God will not condemn you, and if you are forgiving of those you feel have harmed you in some way then God will also forgive you in the same way.

• Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven Luke 6:37
  

If someone does you wrong then you need to let them know about it nicely, and if they are sorry, you must forgive them

• Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him Luke 17:3
  

Jesus Christ gave the ultimate example of forgiveness while being crucified He asked God the Father to forgive the people who were killing Him

• Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots Luke 23:34
  

You should forgive others so that they do not become overwhelmed with sorrow

• Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. 2 Corinthians 2:7
  

Forgive others as you want to be forgiven because Christ forgives you the same way that you forgive others

• To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; 2 Corinthians 2:10
  

When you are wrong you need to ask forgiveness from other people

• For what is it wherein ye were inferior to other churches, except it be that I myself was not burdensome to you? forgive me this wrong. 2 Corinthians 12:13
  

We are instructed to be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving to each other just as God forgives us because of Christ's sacrifice.

• And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32
  

If you confess your sins God will forgive you of them, then go your way and do not do it again

• If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9
