Gethsemane is most widely known as the place where Jesus Christ prayed while His disciples slept the night before He was crucified. It is located in Jerusalem at the foot of the Mount of Olives. Gethsemane is also the same place that Jesus was betrayed by Judas.
Garden of Gethsemane
"The Garden of Gethsemane "Gethsemane, from the Greek word pronounced geth-say-man-ay, meaning oil press, was the name given to an olive orchard at the foot of The Mount Of Olives. It seems to have been one of the favorite places that Jesus Christ visited, and was the scene of one of the most dramatic events of Bible History on The Fateful Night before the Crucifixion." -(Wayne Blank) And they came to a place which was named Gethsemanne: and he saith to his disciples, "Sit ye here, while I shall pray." Mark 14:32 See Mark Chapter 14 See Luke Chapter 12
