About Jesus's Roots
Everyone seems obsessed with finding out their "roots" and everyone finds skeletons in their "geneolological closet" Jesus was no exception. Amazingly enough in studying the "roots" of Christ we find he was of more than one ancestry. He was not 100% Jewish as many had previously proclaimed. There were honorable and great relatives, as well as, murderers and prostitutes in this ancestrial "gene pool" of Jesus's Family Tree. We think you will find this study very interesting and is the beginning of the life of Jesus Christ.
The genealogy of Jesus Christ states clearly the earthly blood lines of Jesus that start with Abraham the father of Isaac as recorded by Matthew whose main concern was to establish that Jesus was in fact the Jewish Messiah whose birth had been predicted and for-told of by the prophets in the Old Testament of the Holy Bible. Matthew took special pains to connect the events surrounding the birth, life and death of Jesus with the traditions of the Jews.

Matthew's account traces the lineage from Abraham to Jesus (41 generations), while Luke records the ancestry from Adam to Jesus (76 generations).
Matthew's genealogy is condensed and divided into three groups of 14, representing a movement through three time periods. The first group lists the patriarchs, the second names the kings, and the third contains private citizens. The intent was not to give a strict record, but rather, present the historical progression.
