Jesus tells the disciples that the one who will betray him is at the table when He says "the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table." He was not only telling the disciples but He also warned the man who was to betray's Him (Judas) that something bad would happen to him for betraying Him.
But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. Luke 22:21
And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed! Luke 22: 22
And they began to inquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing. Luke 22:23
The disciples argued about who is the greatest among them and Jesus tells them that they are essentially equal one to another, the oldest will have the same honor as the youngest and the chief will be the same as the servant. He also points out that He (a king) is among them as a servant-as an example for us to follow.
And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest. Luke 22:24
And he said unto them,The kings of the Gentile exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. Luke 22:25
But ye shall not be so: but he that is the greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. Luke 22:26
For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth. Luke 22:27

Jesus warns Simon Peter that Satan has expressed the desire to "sift him" in the same way as they sifted wheat. "The first step in process of sifting wheat is to loosen the chaff from the edible grain, which is called threshing. The old fashioned way to do this is to spread the wheat onto a floor made from stone, concrete or tamped earth and to beat it with a flail." Read more: How Do Farmers Sift Wheat? | eHow.com

Jesus tells them that what was written about Him was yet to come. It is assumed that Jesus was referring to scriptures about Him being crucified, raising from the dead in three days, and returning to judge the earth.
