Ask God to Prevent You From Committing Willful Sins
You can pray and ask God to keep you from willfully or intentionally committing sins.
Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression. Psa. 19:13 NIV
God Punishes Those Who Sin but Not as Much as He Could
God does not punish us for our sins as harshly as He could. After you complete this study find out what happens when you sin here:

He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. Psa. 103:10 NIV
Jesus Christ (Emmanuel-God With Us) Paid the Price for our Sins So God Would Forget Them
When Jesus Christ died on the cross He covered our sins with His own blood so that God would no longer remember them.
"I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more. Isa. 43:25 NIV
Christ died for your sins, paid the price required with His own blood, (a debt you can never repay) so it is of utmost importance that we try not to sin anymore so that His death was not in vain or for nothing.
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, I Cor. 15:3 NIV
How to get saved
When satan came to God and wanted to prove that Job was not worthy of Gods love he asked God if he could test Job to prove him unworthy and God allowed satan to test Job. Job lost his children, his wealth, and his health and yet, even though his family and friends told Job to go ahead and curse God so he could die and get the torture over with, Job did not curse God and did not sin while he was being tested. As a result, God replaced all that he had and more as a reward because he did not sin against God.
We should be ashamed and are disgraced when we sin against the Lord our God and do not do His will. We must obey God.
Christ died so that we could live but in order to receive this precious gift we must ask for forgiveness and be saved. We belong to God and the punishment for sin is death but God sacrificed His own Son so we could have everlasting life.
God rejoices when we turn away from sin and return to Him
Jesus told the parable of The Prodigal Son where a Father forgives his errant son as an example of forgiveness. When the son returned and asked for his fathers forgiveness the father not only forgave him but celebrated his return, just as God does when we return to Him after living our lives in sin and committing sinful acts. God rejoices when we return to Him.
The prodigal son requested his inheritance early and his father gave it to him. The young man squandered his inheritance and soon found himself in a destitute situation and decided to return home. The young man knew he not only had committed a sin against his father but against God as well. He returned to his fathers house asking forgiveness and was welcomed with open arms. (See The Prodigal Son).
Everyone has sinned at one time or another, none of us of accountable age has went through life without sinning. When we sin we fall short of the glory of God, which is why Jesus died on the cross for our sins, so that we would have the opportunity to be forgiven and have everlasting life.
Once we are saved we cannot go on willfully sinning and if we do sin we must ask for forgiveness right away. Jesus Christ himself keeps you safe from evil if you belong to Him.
As Christ's followers we are not to hang out with people doing bad things with the intention of doing bad things with them. We are not to hang out with people who mock God. We are blessed if we do not do evil things while hanging out with wicked people, and when we do not keep company with people who mock God.
Jesus did not come to call the righteous people but He did come to call the sinners so they could be saved.
There is rejoicing and happiness in heaven when one person gets saved! Even more rejoicing than there is over those who are already saved.
A tax collector humbled himself before Jesus Christ and asked for mercy and Christ forgave him of his sins.
"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'Lk 18:13 NIV
The tax collector
God showed us how much He loved us when He sacrificed His own Son to save us from our sins! Pray and ask God to keep you from sinning.
Know this, Jesus Christ came into this world to save you from your sins. Know that God sent His only Son to die for you because He loves you so very much, and that Jesus Christ allowed it to happen because of His total love for you. Ask for forgiveness and you will receive it. Ask God to keep you from sin. Go and sin no more.
Jesus Christ's death on the cross will cover your sins if you confess them and ask for forgiveness. When you have received forgiveness for your sins, they are covered and you become blessed because there is no more guile or deception in your heart.
