Do not be Deceived! The Holy Bible is very specific about Astrology (Horoscopes), Witchcraft, Sorcerer's, and diviner's of familiar spirits.
We have been subjected to evil since Adam & Eve. The evil one has charming ways to deceive us. Take horoscopes and astrology for example. I used to read my horoscope every day. I actually believed they were real predictions. I did not feel there was anything wrong with it. I vividly recall an incident when I accused someone of something after I read their horoscope that suggested they may have committed some hidden indiscretion. Years later a renowned "Psychic" was on my television telling everyone that the horoscopes are "generalized" to fit anyone. In other words, I could read any one of the horoscopes and it would apply to my life in some way. I tried it with different ones and it was true. Every one of the horoscopes applied to me in some way. Horoscopes are generalized statements that will fit anyone's life if they try to make it 'fit' their life. Many have asked the question, "Should a Christian consult horoscopes?" . The answers to all our questions are in the Holy Bible and in the teaching revealed to us by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit reveals things to believer's so there is no need to consult sorcerer's or horoscopes. There is a difference between prophecy and witchcraft. Diviner's and Astrologer's are basically practicing witchcraft. Astrologer's study Astrology which is defined in the Merriam Webster dictionary as "the divination of the supposed influences of the stars and planets on human affairs and terrestrial events by their positions and aspects". Familiar spirits are defined as "a spirit or demon that serves or prompts an individual: the spirit of a dead person invoked by a medium to advise or prophesy"Witchcraft is defined as, "the use of sorcery or magic: communication with the devil or with a familiar: an irresistible influence or fascination. The Bible tells us not to learn the abomination of those nations When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. Deuteronomy 18:11 These things are an abomination unto the Lord An abomination is defined as "something abominable: extreme disgust and hatred : loathing For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Deuteronomy 18:14 The Bible clearly states:The Lord will raise up a Prophet and that is who we should listen to. A Prophet is defined as "one who utters divinely inspired revelations: the writer of one of the prophetic books of the Bible : one regarded by a group of followers as the final authoritative revealer of God's will" The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken.
