We receive blessings from the Lord if we are obedient to Him and curses if we are disobedient.
Blessings we receive if we are obedient:
If we are careful to faithfully obey the Lord then we are assured certain blessings that will come upon us.
Blessed shall you be in the city
Blessed shall you be in the field, the fruit of your ground 
Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb (Your children will be blessed)
Blessed shall be the fruit of your cattle, (Your herds will increase) 
Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.(Plenty of food)
Blessed shall you be when you come in (You will be blessed when you arrive)
Blessed will you be when you go out (You will be blessed when you leave)
Your enemies will be defeated
You will be established as a holy people unto the Lord
Everyone will know that you belong to the Lord and will be afraid of you Read Deuteronomy 28:1-14 ​​​
Curses for disobedience:
​If we do not listen to the voice of the Lord and do all of His commandments and follow his statutes these curses will come upon us!
Cursed shall you be in the city
Cursed shall you be in the field
Cursed will be your basket and your store
Cursed will be the fruit of your body
Cursed will be the fruit of your land (no increase of your herds)
You will be cursed when you arrive
You will be cursed when you leave
A pestilence will cleave to you until it has consumed you from off the land
You will be overcome with fever, inflammation and extreme burning 
You will be smitten with the sword, with blasting, with mildew
The rain over your land will be powder and dust
You will be overtaken by your enemies 
Your body will b food for the fowls of the air and the beasts of the earth
You will be smitten with the botch of Egypt, with emerods, with the scab, with the itch that cannot be healed
You will be smitten with madness, with blindness and astonishment of heart
You will grope in the day and night and you will not prosper in your ways
You will be oppressed and rotten
You will marry and another man will sleep with your wife
Your cattle will be murdered right in front of you so that you will not be able to eat them, your ass will be taken forcibly from you and your sheep will be given to your enemies.
Your children will be given to other people and you will long for them all the day long
here will be no power in your hands
Another nation that you do not know will eat up the fruits of your labor
You will be oppressed and crushed-always
The Lord will smite your knees, your legs with a sore that cannot be healed, from the sole of your feet to the top of your head
No man will be able to save you
