Warning from Jesus about End Times
Warning from Jesus about the End Times and of persecutions to come
Jesus sent His disciples out into the world telling them to be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Doves traditionally symbolize innocence during this period.
We are like sheep among wolves-to be smart as serpents and harmless as doves
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Matt. 16:16
You will be scourged in the synagogue
But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will -scourge you in their synagogues; Matt. 10:17
You will be brought before governors and kings for testimony against them
And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. Matt. 10:18
When you are delivered up don't worry about what to say it will be given to you during the same hour that you will be required to speak
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. Matt. 10:19
The Spirit of our Father (God) will speak in us
For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. Matt. 10:20
Brother will kill brother, father will kill child, children will rise against their parents and cause them to be put to death
And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. Matt. 10:21
You will be hated by everyone for Jesus Christ's name's sake but for those who endure all these things to the end will be saved
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. Matt. 10:22
If they persecute you in one city-flee to another one until the Son of man comes
But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. Matt. 10:23
