When we are busy thanking the Lord for the good things He has done for us each day, the worries of the world tend to fade into the background.
What the Bible says about Thankfulness This Bible study is about thankfulness and being thankful to the Lord. How often do we pray to the Lord thanking Him for things He has done for us? Many people celebrate Thanksgiving and say their prayer's of thankfulness at that time but did you know you should be thankful-every day that you have awakened in the morning-thankful for another day on this earth. Each day when we wake we have one more day to serve the Lord, one more day to praise Him, one more day to tell others about Him, one more day to live in this world. As most everyone knows the Thanksgiving Holiday began with the first Thanksgiving dinner with the pilgrims and the Indians. It is not a holiday celebrated in the Bible but is a worthwhile holiday that is not based on pagan traditions as so many other holiday's are. Although there is some conflicting stories about the first thanksgiving, this day is observed a s day to show extra thanks to the Lord. Thanksgiving is a day set aside to be thankful to God for all that He has done for us and that alone makes it worth celebrating. However, we should keep in mind to also be thankful to our Lord every day for every thing we receive, in everything we do and thankful for everyone in our lives that we can be an example for.
