After Jesus healed the man with the withered arm on the Sabbath day Jesus withdrew himself and left with his disciples to the seaside. But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judea, Mark 3:7 Jesus was followed by huge groups of believing people who wanted to be healed A very large group of people followed Jesus because they had heard of the many miracles Jesus had performed. Some of them had plagues and many of them wanted to just touch him believing that they would be healed from whatever afflicted them if they just touched him. So Jesus decided to teach from a small ship. And from Jerusalem, and from I-du-me'-a, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Si'-don, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him. Mark 3:8 And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him. Mark 3:9 For he had healed many: insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues. Mark 3:10 Unclean spirits fell down in front of Jesus crying out, "Thou art the Son of God" And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God. Mark 3:11 Jesus did not want the unclean spirits to tell the people that He was the son of God And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known. Mark 3:12
