God is Able. Able means that a person has the ability to do something. Many people seem to believe God is not able to take care of them, to heal them, or to resolve their problems. However, God is, in fact able, to meet all of our needs whether they be physical, emotional, or psychological. Jesus states clearly that if you don't believe His words then you are not His sheep.
But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep as I said unto you.John 10:26
The first time able or ability is mentioned in the Holy Bible The first time the word, able is mentioned in the bible and not as the name of a person iis when King Nebuchadnezzar ordered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to worship a false image he had made as God telling them that if they refused then they would be thrown into a fiery furnace. The three men were not afraid, had faith in the Lord, and were convinced of God's ability to save them when they told the King:
If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and he will deliver us out of thy hand, O King. Dan. 3:17
The 3 men were put inside the furnace and were seen inside the furnace walking around unharmed, by the king. However, King Nebuchadnezzar seen 4 men walking unharmed inside the flames rather than the three that were put in the furnace. He stated that the fourth man appeared to be the son of God. After releasing the three men from the flames the King declared that their God was indeed the most High God. The second time able is mentioned in the Holy Bible The second time able is mentioned in the bible Jesus Christ himself declared that His father God which was in him is the greatest and most powerful of all while explaining that his sheep hear his voice, know Him, and follow Him and if we do this He gives us eternal life that no man can take away from us. Jesus Christ expressed his confidence and faith in God the Father's ability to prevent us from being plucked from the protection offered us in the Father's hand when Jesus said:
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. St. John 10:29
We were given to Jesus by God the Father. Jesus Christ and God the Father are one
I and my Father are one. St. John 10:30
God does not allow Temptation past our breaking point God does not allow us to be tempted beyond our breaking point. He will not allow us to suffer more than we are able. When you think that something is more than you are able to take remember that God provides an escape route. Look for it.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.I Cor. 10:13
God is willing able to provide for your needs so that you can do His work
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Cor.9:8
We must believe in God's ability The Apostle Paul encourages Timothy to believe in God's ability
For the which cause I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed,, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 2 Tim. 1:12
Although the author of Hebrews is unknown the word's of faith in God's ability are evident when speaking of Jesus Christ who suffered and died for our sins while knowing that God could save him from suffering. Jesus knew that we would no longer have redemption from sin if He did not allow Himself to be crucified to save mankind..
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared. Heb. 5:7
‘Jesus died on the cross so we could be saved from sin Jesus (God's son) suffered and died to save us even though He was able to have refused to do so yet He chose to be obedient to God
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered:Heb. 5:8
Only blood sacrifices could cover sin so that God cannot see them In death, Jesus Christ's blood covered our sins and presents us as faultless before God, Jesus is able to keep us from falling
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. Jude1:24
God is Able if we believe God is able to do great things in your life if you let Him by believing that He is able to do the unthinkable, unimaginable because He is all powerful.
