Those who are mourning will be comforted
Those that are mourning and they will be comforted
- Blessed [are] they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Matt. 5:4
Only the hopeless should mourn someone dying
You need not be sorrowful (like those people which have no hope-our hope is in Christ) because when someone dies-they are simply asleep.
- But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. I Thessalonians 4:13
Why people mourn & How God Comforts Them
As difficult as it may seem when we lose someone we love we are overcome with sadness. Some people mourn out of respect for the life of the deceased while others are simply agonizing the loss of having someone they love here with them. Mourning is somewhat selfish to some extent.
God will wipe away the tears from their eyes and there will be no more death, no sorrow, no crying, and no more pain. All former things of this life are gone.
- Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind the tire of thine head upon thee, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not [thy] lips, and eat not the bread of men. Ezekial 24:17
