Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God the Father, the Word, and has the same authority as God the Father, was with God and created all things in the earth and is God, since the beginning, and whose spirit lives in the hearts and minds of those who want to have everlasting life with God. Jesus is the only way to get to God and yet He is a part of God. When Jesus rose from the dead He rose to sit at the right hand of God the Father. God has one body but many parts just like you have one body with many parts that allow it to function properly. You have eyes to see, a nose to smell, a heart that pumps blood to your veins, lungs that pump air into you. Your eyes, nose, heart, lungs etc. are not separate from your body, they are part of your body just like Jesus the Son of God is part of God the Father and His Holy Ghost (Spirit) is part of God which Jesus left as a comforter to His disciples and followers to live inside of us and teach us all things. Is Jesus therefore God? Yes, Jesus is God. John the Baptist clearly tells us that Jesus was here since the beginning of time, created the earth and everything in it, and then became flesh full of grace and truth, so that He could be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. The Word is life, the Word was with God and was God, since the beginning of time & the Word was made flesh in Jesus Christ. Nothing was created without the Word and the world was created by Jesus Christ. The Word was Life and that life was the "light of men". Jesus Christ is the light that shines in the darkness. John the Baptist was a witness who came to tell people about the light (Jesus Christ) so people would believe.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
John 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
John 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Jesus clearly stated He was here even before Abraham.
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Everyone who believes and receives Christ as their saviour has the power to become the sons of God.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
The Word was made flesh and lived among us as the only begotten Son of the Father. He was full of grace and truth and because of His grace and truth we who believe may receive by grace the undeserved favor of access to God the Father and eternal life.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1:15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
John 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
The Word, is Jesus, was with God, is God and has been here since the beginning of creation and it is because of Him that all things exist. The Word is the life and the light of all men because we have redemption through His blood and forgiveness for our sins. Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God.
Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Colossians 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
Christ is the head of the body. The body is the church.
Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Colossians 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
The disciples called Jesus Master and Lord.
So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? John 13: 12
Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well, for so I am. John13:13
You can do nothing without Jesus, Jesus is the only way to God the Father
John 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
We the believers are the branch, part of Christ and as such, we must give our testimony, live our lives following Christ’s example so that He can see we are fruitful and produce more believers.
John 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
We are clean because of the sacrifice Jesus made.
John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
We are to remain steadfast by His side, do His will, follow His words, and conform ourselves without objection because we can not do anything without Him.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Anyone who does not abide, remain steadfast, do His will, follow His words and conform themselves to the will of God will be thrown into the fire and burned.
John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
As believers and the body of Christ, we become His disciples.
John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
Jesus said that He is an example that we need to follow. He also said He is not greater than God the Father who sent Him.
John 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
John 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
John 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
God is a spirit. Jesus was originally not of blood or flesh but when He rose from the dead He returned to sit at the right hand of God the Father and He gave us the Holy Ghost (spirit) to live inside of us. Jesus is spirit and truth which we know, so true worshippers of Him will worship the Father in the spirit and truth.
John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
The Word was made into flesh The Word lived among us The Word was from God the Father The Word was full of grace & truth Jesus was the Word that was here before creation The Word that was here in the beginning of time Jesus is the light to light the darkness, to show us the way.
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.John 1:13
Jesus is the Word that was here since the beginning of time, who was made flesh and lived among us in a fleshly form.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory was of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14
John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. John 1:15
God is a Spirit Jesus is the promised prophesied Messiah Jesus is not greater than God, Jesus is God’s Son, Jesus is God.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24
Jesus is the Messiah.
The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come he will tell us all things. John 4:25
Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he, John 4:26
God is in Jesus and Jesus is in God and when you are saved Jesus Christ's spirit is in you. The Bible tells us that Jesus is the Son of God, part of the Godhead Trinity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. All three are separate beings but one in Spirit. It is hard for man to understand the workings of God but understand this Jesus is the Word. Jesus is one with God. God the Father is in Jesus just as Jesus is in God the Father. God the Father dwells in Jesus and Jesus dwells in God the Father
John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
John 14:11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
God the Father sent Jesus and gave Him the power to give eternal life to us!
John 17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
John 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
Jesus gave confirmation to Peter's statement saying Jesus is the Messiah and Son of God. Matthew, Mark and Luke documented this. In Matthew:
Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
Matthew 16:14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
Matthew 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood
In Mark:
Mark 8:29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ.
Mark 8:30 And he charged them that they should tell no man of him.
In Luke:
Luke 9:20 He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.
Luke 9:21 And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;
While being questioned by the high priests Jesus said that he is the Messiah and Son of God.
Mark 14:61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
Mark 14:62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Jesus said that we will see Him sitting on the right hand of power (God the Father) coming in the clouds of heaven.
Matthew 26:63 But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
Matthew 26:64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Luke 22:69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
Jesus said “I and the Father are one”. We the believers are His sheep, we hear His voice, and we follow Him. Not one of His will be taken from Him. God the Father gave us to Jesus and Jesus gave us eternal life when He died on the cross for our sins so that we will never perish and will live with Him for eternity.
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
John 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Jesus is the bread of life. No one can come to God the Father who sent Him except they believe in Him. No man has seen the Father except Jesus because He is of God. John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
John 6:46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
