Should We Celebrate Christ's Birth?
Christ's birth was celebrated by the wise men by worshiping Him. As followers of Christ we need to examine the Christmas celebration reserved for Christ.
A few facts about Christmas
Christmas day Dec. 25 was not Christ's birthday but the celebration of the Winter Solstice which is a pagan holiday to worship the sun.
All the trimmings which are associated with Christmas are based on pagan gods and beliefs, although most people who celebrate Christmas are not aware of these facts and honestly believe that they are celebrating the birth of Christ.
Many people celebrate the holiday of Christmas believing it to be Christ's birthday exchange gifts and have a traditional holiday meal. People who do not ordinarily go to church will usually show up for a holiday service.
Christmas has been so commercialized many people only vaguely associate it with the birth of Christ. Commercialism has so completely brain washed the general public that they are more concerned about presents (buy, wrapping, giving and getting) them than they are about the birth of Christ. The first commandment of the Ten Commandments:Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exodus 20: 3. When people are more concerned about holiday preparations and gifts than they are about Christ they are putting these things before the Lord.

Could there be a reason that the exact date or year of Christ's birth was never revealed in scripture?
Could it be that it was not meant to be an annual celebration?
