Reading your Bible on a daily basis can change your life, your thoughts, your relationships, your actions and even your words simply by changing the way you think. This short Bible study will reveal the three most important reasons you should study your Bible daily.
Why should we study the Bible? There are three main reasons it is important to read your Bible daily which are to gain knowledge, gain the Lord's approval, and prevent being deceived by others.
Gain knowledge
By studying the Bible you learn what the Lord expects from you, His commandments and laws, how to overcome adversity, gain strength and good health, as well as, how to conduct ourselves in our daily lives.
Gain the Lord's approval
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim. 2:15
Prevent being deceived by false teachers
One of the most important reasons you should study your Bible is to prevent being deceived by others. Read your Bible so that you will know when someone is telling the truth when they are talking about the Lord or teaching the Bible. The Word was here since the earth was created In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:1-51. Most Important Reason to Read Your Bible is: If you don't read the Bible, someone could easily deceive you! People will try to deceive you by using and abusing the use of His Holy name. Jesus tells us that many people will come to you (the believer's). These false teachers will deceive many people while using His name to influence people to believe their lies rather than the word of God Watch out so that no one deceives you! Many people will come in His name and say that they are Christ and will deceive many people. If you do not read the word you will be more likely to be deceived than someone who does read the bible. Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Matthew 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Matthew 24:10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Jesus tells us that many people will come to us and will they will deceive many people while using His name to influence people and many will believe their lies simply because they used His name Watch out so that no one deceives you! Many people will come in His name and say that they are Christ and will deceive many people
Make time in your day to study the word of God! We must study the Word of God to show ourselves approved to God. Dividing the Word of truth a workman does not need to be ashamed.
John tells us the Word was made into Flesh
Jesus was originally not flesh and blood but He was Spirit Jesus was originally not of blood or flesh but of God which we know is Spirit as we read in John 4:24
The Word was made into flesh
The Word lived among us
The Word was from God the Father
The Word was full of grace & truth
Jesus is the Word that was here before creation
The Word that was here in the beginning of time Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:13 The Word was made flesh (human) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory was of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14 John the Baptist states Jesus was here before him even though Jesus was born (flesh born) after him John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. John 1:15
