Jesus tells His disciples that one of the disciples which were eating with him at the Lord's Supper would betray Him. "And as they were reclining at table and eating, Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me, one who is eating with me.” They began to be sorrowful and to say to him one after another, “Is it I?” He said to them, “It is one of the twelve, one who is dipping bread into the dish with me. For the Son of Man goes as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.” Mark 14:18-21 ESV Judas decides to betray Jesus for Money "And when they heard it, they were glad and promised to give him money. And he sought an opportunity to betray him." John 12:6 ESV Judas purchased a field and his bowels gushed out of him there when he fell "(Now this man acquired a field with the reward of his wickedness, and falling headlong he burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out." Psalm 41:9 ESV Judas identified as the betrayer of Jesus "During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him," John 13:2 ESV Judas identified as one of the twelve disciple's received 30 pieces of silver to betray Christ "Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. And from that moment he sought an opportunity to betray him." Matthew 26:14-16 ESV Judas threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and left to hang himself "And throwing down the pieces of silver into the temple, he departed, and he went and hanged himself."
