A miraculous thing happens when you praise the Lord. He hears you! You become focused on Him, your mind and body become filled with His Holy Spirit and you can actually feel His presence. Cares and worries of the world instantly fade away, while you sing and praise the Lord. Suddenly, it's all about Him, you feel love, fulfillment, strength, and trust like you have never known before. You will feel perfect peace. Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: Praising the Lord is an essential part of maintaining your personal relationship with Him. When these feelings overcome you it can be very emotional, and may even make you cry. Usually these are not sad tears, often they are repentant tears, and can even be tears of joy when you realize you are overwhelmed with God's love. This love of the Lord's and the joy you will feel when you praise him surpasses all understanding. Nothing you have known before can compare. It is a feeling of complete and utter trust. So sing praises to Him, pray and praise Him, praise Him when you tell others about Him. When you praise the Lord you know instantly that He has not forgotten about you.
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Psalms 9:10

When you give praise or a compliment to someone, do you think about it first? Most likely you do not, unless you are preparing a speech about someone. Usually people have no difficulties praising someone who has done a job well, accomplished a goal or something awe inspiring and yet, when it comes to praising God, even seasoned believers sometimes fall short. I have heard many times from believers about how the "glow" has worn off from when they were first saved or first believed. In reality, the "glow" receded because you are not praising Him and worshiping Him, and some may even slowed or stopped praying to Him altogether. You have to stop what you are doing, every single day, take time out, read your bible, pray, tell the Lord how much you love Him and why, sing Him a song and if you don't feel comfortable singing to Him, listen to praise song that will help you. He is your God, He needs, no, He wants your attention, every single day. He is your God and you need to honor Him. John 5:44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? Seek to honor Him. every day. There is an old saying that holds true here. "If God seems far away-Who Moved?" We all know the answer. It wasn't the Lord. Praising the Lord Brings you closer to Him, binds your relationship with Him and keeps those feelings of love close to your heart. Seek Him, Praise Him daily. God hears those who are saved and who worship Him. Amen. John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. In Psalms it says singing and praising the Lord is good and comely (attractive, agreeable, suitable). Psalm 146:1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. Psalm 146:2 While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being. Psalm 146:3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. Psalm 146:4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. Psalm 146:5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God: Psalm 146:6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever: Psalm 146:7 Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners: Psalm 146:8 The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous: Psalm 146:9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. Psalm 146:10 The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD. Psalm 147:1 Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
